The 2012 Round of Sweden was the sixth round of the 2012 TM Master Cup season, held at the very bumpy and challenging Göteborgs Motorbana circuit in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Pre-race storylines[edit | edit source]

The Master Cup Manufacturers' Association, the MCMA, has petitioned Master Cup officials to give provisional starting positions for the upcoming Karjala Grand Prix in two weeks. They want 12 spots with street car equivalents. There aren't any facts on who may be involved with the MCMA, but the teams that could be involved are Team Saar USA, Majestic Motorsports, Mitchell & Sons, FLASH Racing, Star Team Nemoto, Xenos Racing and Owen DeGarmo Enterprises. James Dalton Racing could be involved since their cars are closely similar to the Bolden Kiowa.

Of the teams that are involved, only Hodges-Walter Racing, Gessler Richter MC Team, and Volpi Racing Team are known. All three of those teams are not running cars named after production models. The MCMA teams are not pleased on how those teams are doing so far in 2012.
