The TM Junior series was a developmental series for the TM Master Cup series.

Prior to the 2011 season, it shared developmental series duties with the TM Lights Series. The two series were differentiated in their final seasons by TM Junior's open chassis rules vs. the spec Omecha chassis used in TM Lights, and by TM Lights fielding more competitors with prior Master Cup experience, whereas the TM Junior rosters consisted almost entirely of rookies and younger drivers.

The Junior Series went on hiatus after the 2010 season in favor of the expanded three-division format of the Lights series. In 2014, the American Stock Car Championship purchased the assets of the series, resulting in the current ASCC East and West series.
