Twin Race Format

This is not to be confused with the Doubleheader event.

The Twin Race Format is a format the ARLA Elite Series came up with in 2011 to ensure all cars entered make the race, and cut down on qualifying races (except for over capacity events). Unlike Doubleheader events, there will be two winners, and both races hand out the same amount of prize money and points. While a driver can't run and/or win both races, teams have swept both races on a few occasions in the ARLA Elite Series. Surprisingly, the RROL never had a team sweep a race in 2012.

After it's inception, the RROL Elite Series adopted the format for it's 2012 season, and Dash Cup adopted it for 2013.

ARLA (now FARC) would do away with the twin race format in 2014 for a "50/50 Sprint" format. Dash Cup got rid of it after one season in favor of a three race weekend, and RROL became the National Racing Championship in 2013. No racing series currently uses this format.
