Talk:2008 ARLA Elite Series season

After recently watching through the '08 and '09 seasons, I finally decided to start completing the team chart as I made the TC's for those seasons mostly out of memory. However, there are some things I don't know how to go about listing. Some team names and sponsors might have been retconed and some that I just couldn't find (and I doubt Ceej still has that info 10 years later).

Here are some of the things I'm not sure about or flat out don't know, along with other questions...

-The team that owned the 83 & 84. No matter how hard I searched the old forum I couldn't seem to find it.

-The team that owned the 56 & 60 (If Hetzel is even on here he can fill that info himself)

-What exactly is the situation surrounding the 26? If I recall, Bruno Battaglia and his sponsor were from a football VG, The sponsor may not be a big deal, as the stance on fictional sponsors from video games and other media has softened over the years, but I don't know the judgement call on Battaglia. It's probably no big deal, but just making sure.

-The team that owned the 99 that ran in '08 and '09.

-Some teams and drivers I deliberately left off as they didn't qualify for any races (if anybody thinks I should, I'll include them).

-And if I do include it, being that they didn't qualify for a single race that year, the team that owned the 85

-And also, should Pearson/Sweeney pre-merger have their own entries, or should I leave them as one entry like I have them now?

That's all I can remember at the top of my head. I'm probably caring to much about this, but fuck it. I don't like leaving things unfinished. I'll make a similar list on the '09 team chart. --Azzdoritos46 (talk) 22:41, 11 March 2018 (UTC)

  • In general, from what I've seen on here if a sponsor gets rennamed later on typically it'll be retconned on the old charts- i.e. Coca-Cola -> Delano, FatBurgerKid -> Grease Burger, Barely Bare -> b'x. Also, up until Ceej started allowing them again in 2013 or so, fictional sponsors from other media get left off the charts- ex. Ricky Navarro's Happy Tree Friends car, Phinease Marshall being sponsored by Doofenschmirtz Evil Inc. Hope that helps a bit. NeverNeutral (talk) 22:55, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
